Today we celebrate Chemist’s Day, our common industry holiday, bringing together representatives of different occupations and specialisations who implement the bravest ideas and most innovative solutions. Your professionalism and dedication to your favourite occupation help to develop the industry and its individual companies, as well as provide both domestic and overseas markets with high quality products.

In order to maintain our leading position, we are implementing large-scale investment projects. In the next six years, Uralkali will allocate about 300 billion roubles to developing capacities that will lay the foundation for a sustainable and stable future, and help us to continue improving the infrastructure of Berezniki and Solikamsk.

Happy holiday, dear colleagues! I wish you good health, personal well-being, stability and success at work.

Andrey Kriktunov, Deputy Chief Engineer at Berezniki-4, commented:

Today is a special, solemn day for me and all my colleagues working at Uralkali. Receiving the highest corporate award, the ‘Honorary potash worker’ title, would not have been possible without the support of my colleagues with whom we solve large-scale production problems.

I have worked for Uralkali for almost thirty years, and during this time I have witnessed continuous development and modernisation of the Berezniki-4 mine. Today it is Uralkali’s largest mining group. Many of the Company’s new production projects are introduced at our mining group first, including tests of new mining equipment, reconstruction of mining shafts, modernisation of conveyor transport and many others. I am confident that many more achievements lie ahead of us.

Alexander Gapon, Head of Operations at Solikamsk-3, awarded the “Honorary Chemist” title, added:

I am proud that my work at Uralkali was praised so highly. I have always strived to achieve good results and work diligently. I am especially pleased with the recognition of my colleagues, all of whom are real professionals. My award is a credit to the whole team, which I have been part of for almost thirty years. I am confident that together we can solve any problem.

Chemist’s Day coincided with the announcement of the results of a professional competition among workers of seven treatment plants.
