Uralkali takes part in XVIII Education and Career exhibition in Perm on January 21-24

Uralkali has taken part in the XVIII Education and Career event, an annual exhibition of educational institutions and job vacancies, which was attended by the largest enterprises in the Perm Region and seven leading universities from the regional capital. The main visitors to the exhibition were graduates from secondary and higher education institutions in the region. Uralkali participates in the event every year.

Over the four days of the exhibition, visitors were able to communicate directly with Uralkali representatives to obtain detailed information and ask questions about the Company.

For example, visitors learned that Uralkali is one of the most attractive employers in the Perm Region, and not only because of its average salary of about RUB 50,000. The company implements training programmes for its candidate pool for various managerial positions. There is a special training centre and corporate university for education and further training and the Company covers costs associated with obtaining higher professional education for the most in-demand professions.

Uralkali actively works with graduates from specialised universities and attracts young professionals. The Company co-operates closely with Perm National Research Polytechnic University (PNRPU) and its Berezniki Branch, and interacts with secondary education institutions and schools.

Since 2006, Uralkali has partnered with PNRPU to provide scholarships for the best students and awards for the winners of the “Verkhnekamsky Kali” competition. Annual investments under the agreement amount to RUB 15 million.

In 2007, Uralkali provided financial assistance to establish the department of mineral deposit exploitation technology and integrated mechanisation in the Berezniki Branch of the Perm National Research Polytechnic University.

In 2008, the Potash Institute was established at PNRPU. The institute is a unique specialised training and research centre, equipped with world-leading laboratories.

Since 2011, Uralkali has invested about RUB 15 million in supporting secondary education in Berezniki and Solikamsk.

Under the targeted employment programme, the company has employed more than 700 young specialists with higher and secondary education since 2010.
