Dmitry Osipov participates in All-Russian Miners’ Congress

Dmitry Osipov, Uralkali CEO (the Company; MICEX: URKA), participated in the 6th All-Russian Miners’ Congress, held on 25 November in Moscow (Russia).
The Congress is one of the key industry events of the year. It is traditionally attended by representatives of the federal legislative bodies and senior executives from major Russian mining companies, as well as companies from related areas, representatives of scientific and educational institutions, industry experts and representatives from BRICS and Eurasian Economic Community (EurAsEC) countries.
During the congress, participants proposed a number of initiatives to address pressing development problems in the natural resources sector, including:
- creating more favourable economic, administrative and legal conditions for the exploration, mining and processing of minerals
- introducing new technologies to extract commercially valuable elements from mineral raw materials more efficiently and to use secondary minerals in the industry
- introducing special technologies to reduce the negative impact of mining and processing operations on the environment
- developing the Russian mining sector potential workforce by creating a national system of professional qualifications and developing professional standards
In light of Uralkali’s significant contribution to the development of the industry, the event organisers decided to elect Dmitry Osipov to the Supreme Mining Council of the Miners of Russia Non-Profit Partnership.

The main organiser of the event is the Miners of Russia Non-Profit Partnership, established in 1999 at the 1st Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of the Mineral Resources Sector of the Russian Economy. The 6th All-Russian Miners’ Congress features an exhibition called ’Innovations in the Mining Industry’ that showcases the projects of the largest mining companies.
