During the congress, participants proposed a number of initiatives to address pressing development problems in the natural resources sector, including:

  • creating more favourable economic, administrative and legal conditions for the exploration, mining and processing of minerals
  • introducing new technologies to extract commercially valuable elements from mineral raw materials more efficiently and to use secondary minerals in the industry
  • introducing special technologies to reduce the negative impact of mining and processing operations on the environment
  • developing the Russian mining sector potential workforce by creating a national system of professional qualifications and developing professional standards

In light of Uralkali’s significant contribution to the development of the industry, the event organisers decided to elect Dmitry Osipov to the Supreme Mining Council of the Miners of Russia Non-Profit Partnership.
