Uralkali included in RSPP Responsibility and Transparency and Vector of Sustainable Development indices

The Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) has included Uralkali (the Company; MICEX: URKA) in its list of leading domestic companies in the fields of sustainable development, corporate responsibility and reporting. The Company has been ranked in the Responsibility and Transparency index and the Vector of Sustainable Development index as a result of its activities in 2016.

The Responsibility and Transparency index analyses the quality of corporate social responsibility (CSR) information disclosure in public corporate reports and determines CSR priority areas for Russian business leaders.

The Vector of Sustainable Development index analyses trends in company operations; its main aim is to assess changes in their main socio-economic and environmental indicators over a certain period.

The RSPP sustainable development, corporate responsibility and reporting indices have been compiled since 2014. The purpose of this project is to create tools for the independent evaluation of companies’ operations with the aim of promoting a systematic view of sustainable development and corporate responsibility, as well as improving transparency and the quality of governance in this area.

The Company’s assets consist of 5 mines and 7 ore-treatment mills situated in the towns of Berezniki and Solikamsk (Perm Territory, Russia).
