Uralkali announces targeted recruitment of high school graduates

Uralkali has launched its annual recruitment programme, which targets graduates of secondary schools in Berezniki and Solikamsk. In order to participate in the programme, students are required to perform well in academic competitions in mathematics, physics or chemistry held in February and March this year. The competitions are being organised jointly by Uralkali and the Berezniki Branch of the Perm National Research Polytechnic University (BB PNRPU). In addition, students must pass the Unified State Examinations (USE) in these subjects with a total score of not less than 180. Applications to participate in the targeted recruitment programme should be submitted to the Company’s Recruitment and Staff Development Department from April to May 2017.

Uralkali’s target students will enjoy a range of benefits. Starting from their second year, the Company pays them a stipend, ranging between RUB 3,000 and 12,000 per month. The exact amount is based on performance. Students enrolled in Uralkali’s programme undertake paid practical training at the Company’s units and will be provided with all of the necessary guidance materials for term and graduation papers. Graduates of the programme are guaranteed a job at Uralkali and will be given a relocation allowance of RUB 26,000-31,000, depending on their average diploma score.

In 2017, targeted recruitment will include the following occupations:

  • PNRPU — Mine Surveying, Electrification and Automation of Mining, Electric Power Supply, Mining Machinery and Equipment.
  • BB PNRPU — Chemical Technology of Inorganic Substances.
  • St. Petersburg Mining University — Electric Drive and Automation.

It is envisaged that 12 graduates from schools in Berezniki and Solikamsk will take part in Uralkali’s targeted recruitment programme.

Uralkali has been running its targeted recruitment programmes for over 7 years. In total, over 60 students have received training in occupations that are in demand. In 2016, 3.1 pupils competed for each place on the programme, with 16 graduates being selected to participate.
