Uralkali hosts seventh winter tourist camp

The seventh ’Circle of Friends’ winter tourist camp for potash workers took place at the Skazka health centre in Berezniki on 18 March.

Five teams of nine people each, from various divisions of the Company, took part in the competition, in which the main event was a winter sports safety contest. The teams crossed hill passes, competed in uphill and downhill skiing with and without fixed protective barriers and demonstrated their ability to transport people with possible injuries.

In addition, tourists took part in an orienteering competition, and the fans demonstrated their support for the teams during the cheerleading contest. The gathering ended with a parade of snow sculptures.

The “Double-2” team (Berezniki-2) won the seventh Uralkali tourist camp. The “Forsage” team (LLC Avtotranskali) placed second, while the “Lokomotiv” team (LLC Wagon Depot Balakhontsy) was third. All prize winners were awarded certificates and cash bonuses.

The first “Circle of Friends” summer tourist camp took place in August 2003. In 2011, the Company held its first winter gathering. The Uralkali team “Salt of the Earth” are the most successful participants, having won many prizes at city and regional tourist camps.
