Uralkali awards scholarships to BB PNRPU students

Uralkali has awarded scholarships to five best students of the Perm National Research Polytechnic University, Berezniki Branch (BB PNRPU). The award ceremony took place during the International Conference of Students and Young Scientists “Youth Science for Regional Development”. All scholarship holders study in the “Technological Machinery and Equipment” and “Chemical Technology”, occupations demanded by Uralkali.

In addition, Uralkali’s representatives have awarded pupils who scored maximum points in academic competitions in mathematics and chemistry.

Stanislav Seleznev, Uralkali Director for Human Resources, Occupational Safety and Environmental Protection, commented:

Uralkali traditionally cooperates with higher and secondary educational institutions. We understand that it is impossible to ensure the effectiveness of the Company’s business processes without attracting young and competent professionals. Many graduates of the University today successfully work at Uralkali.

Uralkali has paid Individual scholarships since 2006 as part of a cooperation agreement between the Company and PNRPU and the Berezniki Branch of the University. Scholarships are paid following each semester. The scholarships amount to RUB 3,000 per month. The main criteria for candidates’ selection are high academic achievements, research in the area of Uralkali’s activities, successful completion of an internship and interest in the occupation.

The Company also assists in the improvement of facilities and equipment, allocates money for research grants for teachers and the equipment of educational laboratories. In 2016, Uralkali invested in the programme over RUB 10 million.

In addition to PNRPU students, Uralkali’s scholarships are awarded to students of Berezniki Polytechnic College and Solikamsk Mining and Chemical College. The Company also runs a target admission programme.
