Uralkali identifies the targeted enrolment results among secondary school graduates

Ten secondary school graduates from Berezniki and Solikamsk have become participants of Uralkali’s targeted enrolment programme.

In order to participate in the programme, future school graduates were required to compete in school Olympiads in mathematics, physics or chemistry held in February-March 2017 by Berezniki Branch of Perm National Research Polytechnic University (PNRPU) together with Uralkali. In addition, they had to score at least 180 points in these subjects at the Unified State Examination (USE).

With the Company’s support, they will be trained in Mine surveying, Electrification and automation of mining, Electric power supply, Mining machines and equipment (PNRPU), Chemical technology of inorganic substances (BB PNRPU), Electric drives and automatics (Saint Petersburg Mining University).

Uralkali has been implementing its targeted enrolment programme for 7 years. During this period, 60 students were trained in the occupations demanded by the Company.

All targeted enrolment students have a number of advantages. Starting from Year 2, Uralkali pays a scholarship at the end of each semester. The scholarships’ amount, depending on academic performance, varies from RUB 3,000 to RUB 12,000 per month. Students participating in Uralkali’s targeted enrolment programme are in practical training at the Company’s departments and are provided with the necessary resource materials for their course and diploma papers. All programme graduates have guaranteed jobs in Uralkali and installation grants vary from RUB 26,000 to RUB 31,000, depending on their GPAs.
