Uralkali partners with the Perm Engineering and Industrial Forum

Uralkali (the Company; Moscow Exchange: URKA), one of the world’s largest potash producers, became a partner of the Perm Engineering and Industrial Forum, which is taking place in Perm, Russia on 17-18 October 2019.

An extended Board of Perm industrial companies supervised by the regional Governor Maxim Reshetnikov will meet on 17 October, as part of the forum’s business agenda. Dmitry Osipov, Uralkali CEO, will provide an overview of the development needs for the regional railway infrastructure amid growing production and freight volumes. Solution to this issue is key for the Company’s operations and the implementation of a broader investment and industrial policy of the Perm Region.

On 18 October, Dmitry Osipov will participate in the plenary meeting to speak about cutting-edge technologies in potash fertilizer production.

The Perm Engineering and Industrial Forum has been held since 2014, it is attended by representatives of federal and regional executive authorities, leading industrial companies as well as by Russian and foreign industry experts.

Every year, forum participants discuss diversification of the Russian production sector as well as a programme to increase labour productivity in the regions, state support for commercial companies, opportunities for industrial cooperation and prospects for the digital economy in the manufacturing sector.
