Today, Secondary School No. 1 of Solikamsk opened an engineering class, in which Uralkali invested RUB 8.5 million. The funds were allocated to purchase modern lab systems for the study of chemistry, physics and computer science. In the future, it is planned to purchase interactive equipment and furniture.

As part of this project, the students enrolled in the engineering class will study physics, mathematics, chemistry and computer science at an advanced level in order to develop their engineering competencies as well as their research and innovation skills.

This initiative will help Uralkali and Perm National Research Polytechnic University to participate in the organisation of specialised pre-university training of school children and to organise career guidance events that will include field trips to the production facilities of the Company.

Irina Konstantinova, Uralkali, Head of HR and Communications, commented:

Uralkali is one of the biggest employers in Solikamsk and Berezniki. The Company is developing rapidly, so we are always interested in attracting qualified staff, especially when it comes to engineering specialisations. The opening of a specialised engineering class in Solikamsk is an important landmark in the development of future professional competencies of school children.
