The 14th snowkiting competition dubbed ‘Stroganov Mile 2023’ was held on the Kama River from 23 to 26 February 2023 in Usolye (Perm Region, Russia) with support from Uralkali. The event included the second and final round of the Russian Snowkiting Cup in the Freestyle and Course Racing categories. In total, 64 athletes took part in the races. The participants included medallists of various national and international championships and came to Usolye from Moscow, Kazan, Yekaterinburg, St. Petersburg and other Russian cities.

This year, the Stroganov Mile coincided with the Pancake Week, a Russian Orthodox festival preceding Great Lent. The entertainment programme offered traditional elements like free master classes in snowkiting, exhibitions in the Stroganov Chambers, Bragin’s House and the House of Golitsyn Museum House, and playgrounds for participants and visitors.

Aleksey Sidorov, Deputy Production Director of Berezniki-4 Mine:

Uralkali supports professional federations and amateur sports within its area of operations. The Stroganov Mile is a very spectacular performance, which is always highly anticipated by fans of winter sports.

Pavel Kushnin, Organiser of the Stroganov Mile:

Uralkali has for many years been the main sponsor of the Stroganov Mile. Its support helped raise our event’s recognition and status. We attained a federal level and now Usolye can welcome professional athletes from Russia and its neighbouring states.
