Uralkali takes stock of the 2019 Corporate Sports Games

The closing ceremony of Uralkali Group’s Corporate Sports Games was held in the Ural Gems recreation centre outside of Solikamsk.

In 2019, more than 2,500 athletes from various departments and subsidiaries of Uralkali took part in the contest in 12 teams. Participants competed in 12 sports: swimming, darts, shooting, skiing, volleyball (men and women), futsal, indoor athletics, table tennis, five-a-side, cross country running and basketball.

The Solikamsk-3 and Berezniki-2 teams were the overall winners of the 2019 Corporate Sports Games. The combined team from Berezniki’s LLC Uralkali-Remont and Solikamsk directorates was the second one. Third place was shared by Berezniki directorates’ and LLC Uralkali-Remont’s teams from Solikamsk.

During the closing ceremony, the twelve best young competitors were awarded special cups. Diplomas were also awarded to the nine best athletes and the best sport event organiser. Sponsored by Uralkali, winners in individual disciplines will be able to attend the federal level sports event next year as spectators.

In addition to corporate competitions, all Uralkali employees can take part in sponsored fitness and health promotion events during the year. During the ’Skiing for health’ campaign, employees are given a 50% discount for equipment rental in Snezhinka (Berezniki), Strizhi (Usolye) and Kaliets (Solikamsk) ski centres. The ’Swimming for health’ campaign gives employees a 50% discount for the Titan and Crystal swimming pools in Berezniki and the Dolphin swimming pool in Solikamsk. Participants in the ’Speedy health improvement’ campaign get a 50% discount of bicycles, roller skate and hoverboard rental.
