16.01.2020

Uralkali will take part in the 22nd Interregional Exhibition and Forum of Educational Institutions, Educational Technologies and Vacancies, titled ’Education and Career 2020: Digitalisation and the Occupations of the Future’. The exhibition is being held from 16 to 19 January, on the site of the Perm Fair exhibition association (Perm, Russia). Participants in the exhibition and forum include leading companies from the Perm region, as well as universities from Perm, Yekaterinburg, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Tomsk, Tyumen and other Russian cities.

At the exhibition, Uralkali representatives will present the Company to school graduates, talk about the professions most in demand by the business, and provide a detailed description of what it is like to work at Uralkali and its subsidiaries. Secondary school and higher education students will be offered advice on career and personal development opportunities within the Uralkali Group, and will also learn about the Company’s social benefits.

Visitors to Uralkali’s booth will be able to use a virtual reality headset to experience how a cutter loader extracts potash ore at a depth of 400 metres, as well as learning how the Verkhnekamskoe potash and magnesium salts deposit has evolved over time.

This exhibition-forum will feature the ’Occupations of the Future’ quest, which will enable participants to find out about professions that are in demand. Participants in the quest will complete various tasks at the booths of educational institutions and leading regional companies. At Uralkali’s booth they will be able to take part in a quiz related to production of potash fertilizers.

Irina Konstantinova, Uralkali HR Director, commented:

Uralkali takes part in the ’Education and Career’ exhibition every year, as it is an excellent opportunity to introduce school, secondary and higher education students and graduates to the specifics of potash production. Uralkali has created attractive conditions for professional development and career growth. In 2019, we ran training for over 1,000 college and university students at our divisions, and hired 247 young professionals.

Uralkali (www.uralkali.com) is one of the world’s largest potash producers and exporters. The Company’s assets consist of 5 mines and 7 ore treatment plants in the towns of Berezniki and Solikamsk (Perm Region, Russia). Uralkali employs more than 12,000 people in the main production unit. Uralkali’s shares are traded on the Moscow Exchange.
