Uralkali Agrees Cooperation with the Vagner Regional Hospital

30.01.2020

The agreement will strongly benefit the level of healthcare provided in Verkhnekamie, offering doctors greater opportunities for professional development, as well as improving the benefits package for healthcare workers at the Vagner Hospital.

Healthcare professionals and hospital employees will be offered the following benefits: interest reimbursement on housing loans, vouchers for health resorts, and trips to Uralkali’s health centre, ‘Ural Gems’, for their children.

Uralkali is a long-standing sponsor of the Vagner Hospital in Berezniki, and traditionally provides the facility with necessary modern healthcare equipment.

In 2019, in order to provide high-quality and timely medical services to Verkhnekamie residents, the Company donated state-of-the-art medical equipment worth over RUB 33 million to the hospital. This included a hyperthermic perfusion device for the oncology unit, laser equipment for endourological surgery, a radio frequency generator for neurosurgery, drills for the traumatology and orthopaedics departments and 50 hospital beds provided for patient care in all departments with in-patients.

Dmitry Osipov, Uralkali CEO, commented:

Being a socially responsible Company, we strive for quality and timely medical care for all the residents of Verkhnekamie. Between 2017 and 2019, Uralkali allocated over RUB 40 million towards purchasing medical equipment in Berezniki. Our partnership is now reaching another level, and with this newly-signed agreement, our Company will be able to contribute towards improving the overall quality of healthcare services provided in Verkhnekamie.
