Today, a new taekwondo center has been opened in Berezniki (Perm Region, Russia) following renovation works. Uralkali provided RUB 4 million for the new layout and capital repairs at the 533m2 facility.

Athletes can now access four specialised gyms designed for specific types of martial arts training. In terms of upgrades, the floors in the facility have been leveled and a special sports-purpose linoleum has been laid, and all the electric wiring has been fully replaced, while fire doors, ventilation and sound-proofing systems have also been installed. Athletes can now use refurbished locker rooms, showers and bathrooms, including special facilities for people with special needs.

Following the renovation, the Berezniki taekwondo facilities are fully up to date and meet the relevant requirements and recommendations for sports facilities outlined by the Rospotrebnadzor Federal Agency.
