Uralkali Announces Management Changes

Uralkali (the Company; Moscow Exchange: URKA), one of the world’s largest potash producers, today announces the Board of Directors’ decision to appoint Vitaly Lauk as CEO of Uralkali effective 4 December 2020. He will succeed Dmitry Osipov in this position, who will resign on 3 December 2020 to focus on the Company’s other projects.

Dmitry Mazepin, Chairman of Uralchem’s Board of Directors, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Uralkali, commented:

We are grateful to Dmitry Osipov for the significant contribution he has made to Uralkali’s development. Under his leadership the Company has retained its leading position in the global potash market and by implementing investment projects and corporate governance initiatives, introducing advanced technology for the production and processing of potash and successfully communicating with key stakeholders, as well as consistently executing its socioeconomic policy in the region of operations.

Biography

Vitaly Lauk was born in 1968. In 1993, he graduated from the Perm State Technical University with a degree in underground mining of mineral deposits. In 2015, he graduated from the St. Petersburg International Institute of Management, where he received an MBA.

He joined Uralkali in 1990 as a mine worker; in 2016, he was appointed First Deputy Technical Director of Uralkali. Since September 2017, Vitaly Lauk has been the Technical Director and member of the Management Board of the Company.
