The main sources of pollutant emissions at Uralkali are process equipment and stacks in boiler shops. Emissions are generated during the combustion of fuels (natural gas, associated petroleum gas, fuel oil) at ore mines.

Uralkali carefully controls the emissions of pollutants from its plants into the atmosphere using instrumental and calculation methods. All air emissions from stationary sources are within the maximum permissible emissions in accordance with Russia’s environmental legislation.

Sources of emissions from the Company’s enterprises are inventoried and equipped with high-performance treatment devices. When expanding existing production facilities, Uralkali invests in the upgrade of treatment equipment.
