Uralkali creates New Year's ice town for Solikamsk residents

15.12.2019

An ice town has been opened today in central Solikamsk thanks to funding from Uralkali. Residents of all ages will be able to enjoy an ice rink and playgrounds located in the main square (Voskresenskaya), amid ice sculptures of New Year’s figures — Santa Claus and the Snow Maiden. The square has been decorated with illuminated ‘reindeer and sleigh’ statues and festive lights.

Uralkali also sponsors a festive firework show, which will be held in two locations in Solikamsk on New Year’s Eve.

The Company has also allocated funds to purchase six hundred New Year’s gifts for orphans and children from low-income families, as well as for children living in rural parts of Solikamsk.

Maksim Tomilin, LLC Uralkali-Remont CEO, commented:

The New Year is everyone’s favourite holiday. Every year, Uralkali sponsors the construction of an ice town in the city centre, and this has now become a tradition. The ice town is a great attraction for all ages and will help Solikamsk residents make the most of their New Year’s holidays.
