Uralkali does everything possible to prevent emergencies and respond swiftly and effectively in the event of an emergency. Uralkali has plans in place for the containment and mitigation of accidents in accordance with legal requirements for all the Company’s enterprises. At the executive level the Company has a Commission on Emergency Response and Fire Safety. Uralkali invests in warning systems and employee training to prevent any emergency.

Company employees and contractors undergo regular emergency response training and the Company has voluntary rescue units set up at all of its mines. These are trained and certified auxiliary mine rescue teams and freelance teams of surface complex workers. Professional services and formations are recruited on a contractual basis.

Local warning systems operate at the Company’s facilities where there are higher risks. Sound warning systems are installed to alert the local population.
