Uralkali Launches a Target Education Programme

Uralkali (the Company) announced the commencement of a target education programme for Year 9 and 11 students of secondary schools. The participants of the programme will be able to continue their education in vocational schools and universities under special curricula to master professions required by the Company.

Year 11 students will be offered the following specialisation fields: Surveying; Mining Machines and Equipment; Underground Development of Ore Deposits; Electrification and Automation in Mining; Geology; Process and Production Automation; Process Machines and Equipment; Electric Power Engineering and Equipment; Chemical Technology of Inorganic Substances; Thermal Power Engineering and Equipment; and Standardisation and Metrology.

For Year 9 students, the available fields are Chemical Technology of Inorganic Substances; Operation and Servicing of Electrical and Mechanical Equipment; Underground Development of Mineral Deposits; Surveying; Installation and Maintenance of Industrial Equipment; and Process and Production Automation.

The target education will be provided by a wide range of institutions including the Perm State National Research University, the Perm National Research Polytechnic University and its branch in Berezniki, the St. Petersburg Mining University, the Boris Yeltsin Ural Federal University, the MISIS University of Science and Technology, the Ural State Transport University, the Berezniki Polytechnic School, the Solikamsk Mining and Chemical Technical School, and others.

Uralkali will provide the participants with a monthly financial allowance, assist them in writing their term and graduation papers, and arrange apprenticeship placements at its underground and surface facilities. The graduates will be guaranteed employment matching their specialisation, a relocation allowance, corporate housing, and opportunities for professional and career advancement.
