Uralkali Finances New Medical Equipment for a Hospital in Solikamsk

Uralkali (the Company), a part of Uralchem Group and one of the world’s largest producers of potash, allocated RUB 6.5 million for the purchase of new medical equipment for the Solikamsk Municipal Hospital.

The money was used to buy endoscopic apparatuses, medical appliances and consumables for abdominal surgery. The new equipment will improve the quality of research and enable the hospital to perform the minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery.

In 2023, Uralkali allocated around RUB 2 million to develop a conceptual design for improving and landscaping the grounds of the municipal and children’s hospitals in Solikamsk and also RUB 3 million to purchase a GAZ-A21R23 truck for domestic needs of the municipal hospital.

In 2021, the Company provided over RUB 7 million to the municipal hospital in Solikamsk to purchase a blood analyser and haemodynamic monitors for the intensive care unit, and arthroscopic stands. Also, a dental clinic in Solikamsk received a Lada Largus van to transport medicines.

In 2020, Uralkali contributed RUB 3.5 million to purchase equipment for a PCR laboratory in Solikamsk. The Company also provided financing of around RUB 2 million to the local children’s hospital, and allocated around RUB 0.8 million for new tilting beds for the municipal hospital’s in-patient department.
